Goshuushou-sama Ninomiya-kun Episode 1

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

As I mentioned in my previous post, I’m trying out a new anime. This is one of them.

Well, when I first see this anime, it’s quite…er… ok. There’s a guy, with 2 girls, who runs around while the girl gets chased by men…. sounds familiar to me, just like the opposite of Nagasarete Airantou combined with Shuffle!. At first it seems just like any normal anime, and i was getting real bored. But soon, the show starts to take its pace with the girl’s arrival. The story seems really interesting, and if you don’t mind watching Shuffle! or Chobits then you’re sure to be fine with this. So far, it doesn’t reach the viewing rating of School Days, so it’s quite cool. The show’s quite nice actually, and funny some times. I’ve downloaded 3 more episodes after watching this, I’ll be watching them soon

October 2007 Animes that I’m watching

Greetings, after a few months, time to rewrite my blog.

first of all, animes! the October season promises a lot of nice animes. Frankly I’ve been having trouble choosing which to keep and which not to, because this isn’t summer or spring anime, it’s October! I’m only worried of my hard disk space for now, haha. Therefore, here’s the few animes i’m currently watching

First off

Shakugan no Shana Second

Firstly, this series, is one of the best I’ve seen so far. The first season has already made me addicted to it, and now!, when they announced the second season at 31st march, i can’t wait for it and finally it’s here!.
Episode 1: Basically a recap of the entire last season. They tried hard to make it not to look like a recap and i have to give credit to them a lot. It’s a nice first episode, and did i mention the OP rocks like hell!! Besides that, seeing shana again is enough to make me watch the entire series. As usual, Shakugan no Shana series has the top quality graphics and music. These are the animes that are really worth watching. Besides, this is way better than zero no tsukaima which is also made by jc staff.
Episode 2: Things starts to get serious in this episode, they actually continued the recap from the previous episode, well it’s not a recap, but just something to follow up but it’s really worth watching. In this episode they introduced the keeper in reiji maigo, i wont explain how (spoilers) XD This episode is better than the first, seeing shana slice the tomogara looks nice ^^
Episode 3: Okay…don’t freak out but this time a new character will appear and its really nice and refreshing, a must watch.
Episode 4: okay this episode is quite interesting too. We can see both shana and kazumi getting jealous and it’s really funny.

Well, up to now, there’s not much fighting going on, much to love. let’s hope ti doesn’t go too far with it, because i wanna see some guze no tomogara get kicked that’s for sure! Besides that i’m waiting for the more interesting part of this season. seems like i’ll be having a good end of year holidays this time ^^ Besides, not to mention the new season comes in HD ( High Definition)! OMFG, this is sooo cool!

Gundam 00

Hey, i’m a huge huge gundam fan! and the announcement of a new installment of gundam seems very nice to me. Frankly i didn’t even know it’s release date, unlike Shakugan no Shana Second. So when i found the torrent, i got the HD version straight away, there’s alot of peers and seeders too!

Overview
hey!, nice OP! The new OP doesn’t comes witht he usual gundam flying to you and brandishing whatever it has! So this is indeed a huge improvement! The graphics quality increase significantly since seed and destiny. But, the story is somewhat confusing. Someone who just watched the first episode might not know what it’s about anyways, and it seems lame and er… looks alot like gundam wing etc att he frist episode, but later in episode 2,3 and 4, they started taking action! Not only that, there’s the emo main character who’s cold towards his neighbour ( not sure if the neighbour plays an important role or not). After some time, this show is mostly one sided, an overwhelming GUNDAM faction that wins over 3 major ones. But in episode 4, oh wow! things starts to get even. The main character had to submerge to avoid another pilot who chased after his gundam with TWICE the speed, wow! Things really starts to get interesting! So make sure to check it out!

The above 2 animes are the animes i’m enjoying the most! and is a sure to stay in my hard disk and be burned to dvd. Besides those 2, i’m also watching others animes…..

Hamad releases high-resolution Vista wallpapers

February 26th, 2007 by Long Zheng

Hamad Darwish Windows Vista picturesHamad Darwish, the Flickr photographer commissioned to shoot Windows Vista wallpapers, has been busy over the last few weeks.

He’s appeared on Good Morning Kuwait,

a TV show comparable (not in scale, but at least in name) to Good
Morning America; Digg (3 times); the Al-Anba newspaper; Kuwait
Clientele magazine; Softpedia; Chip.de; the Official Windows Vista
magazine and a Chinese magazine for the arts, which they claim to be
the biggest in China. Apparently, he has also landed a contract with a
photography equipments manufacturer and been commissioned to teach a photography course.

You could say, I started something. But that’s not all.

Hamad has since released as promised, the entire set of photos taken
for Windows Vista in high-resolution of 1920×1200 pixels on his personal website. Go grab ‘em!

Wikipedia creator turns to search

Jimmy Wales, Wikimedia boss (Getty)
Jimmy Wales: Search is “broken”

The creator of the Wikipedia encyclopedia is turning his attention to search engines.

Jimmy Wales, the man behind the collaborative online reference work, is planning to create a “people-powered” search site.

The Search Wikia project will not rely on computer algorithms to determine how relevant webpages are to keywords.

Instead the results generated by the search engine will be decided and edited by humans.

The project will stand apart from the Wikipedia encyclopedia but will be overseen by the Wikimedia Foundation - which is headed by Mr Wales.

Like the Wikipedia, the search site will rely on a large community of members to create and run it.

Announcing the project Mr Wales said it was needed because the existing search systems for the net were “broken”.

Internet Traffic Report

The Internet Traffic Report monitors the flow of data around the world. It then displays a value between zero and 100. Higher values indicate faster and more reliable connections.
I’m sure most of you guys here know about the earthquake that struck Taiwan and shocked Asia Internet badly. Well, I’m in Asia and my connection is quite slow. Don’t talk about downloading files, even normal browsing is hard enough, browsing through files hosted locally is fine but those hosted overseas such as this blog here and my website and ftp server, both hosted in United Kingdom is very hard.

I’ve noticed the disruption since early last two days ago. At first I thought it was because of the high users at Jcxp.net, which I frequently visit, and more now everysince they released Vista Transformation Pack 6.0 a few days back refering to the previous post I made. I’ve been helping out there to tend to some simple questions that was asked frequently and got myself to become a full member when my posts reached 50 ^_^. Anyways, back to topic,  Limewire = Zero! Yep, limewire can’t even connect to one of the ultrapeers.

I’m in Malaysia, imagine beijing or shanghai, the main place where it was struck, it’s a very bad news to them. Speaking of bad news, Windows X, the creator of VTP 6 lives in Thailand, and he too posted in his forum, in Jcxp.net, that he had connection problems and won’t be answering questions and bugs anytime soon, but i’m sure he has enough people there to help out ;). Bittorent = Yeash! Yep, bittorent still works, well i’m using Bitcomet but the connection was badly hurt and the number of peers i’m connected to was severely reduced, but still it’s running! and not nothing at all like Limewire.

Finally *pointing to the top* is a picture from Internet Traffic Report.com. The higher the number, the better the internet traffic in that area is. So i hope to see asia’s index increase soon! ^_^

New research could lead to ‘invisible’ electronics

Imagine a car windshield that displays a map to your destination, military goggles with targets and instructions displayed right before a soldier’s eyes or a billboard that doubles as a window.

Only in science fiction you say? Northwestern University researchers report that by combining organic and inorganic materials they have produced transparent, high-performance transistors that can be assembled inexpensively on both glass and plastics.

The results of this breakthrough, which brings such futuristic high-quality displays closer to reality, were published in the November 2006 issue of the journal Nature Materials.

Researchers have long worked on developing new types of displays powered by electronics without visible wires. But, until now, no one was able to develop materials for transistors that could be “invisible” while still maintaining a high level of performance.

Vista Issues Bedevil Firefox

Even though an update was released earlier this week, Mozilla’s Firefox browser remains plagued by 20 bugs when run in Windows Vista.

According to the release notes of Firefox 2.0.0.1, the edition issued Tuesday, the browser hasn’t yet been given the all-clear for Vista. Among problems still on the list: Firefox cannot be set as the default browser in Vista, and updates may fail if the application is installed to a directory other than the default.

A total of 34 Firefox bugs related to Windows Vista have been collected in the Mozilla Bugzilla database; 20 of the bugs remain unfixed. Several relate to Vista’s new parental control features that let families lock down or restrict access to the Internet.

Microsoft Releases Vista Kernel APIs to Rival Security Firms

Microsoft has released draft APIs designed to mollify third-party security software developers that are angry over the company’s decision to wall off the kernel in the 64-bit edition of Windows Vista.

The application programming interfaces are meant to give security software makers access to information heading into the Vista kernel so that they can create software similar to what they now write for Windows XP and Vista 32-bit. That software often “hooks” into the kernel to monitor behavior that could indicate that malicious code is trying to hijack the computer.

“We are delivering the first draft set of these new APIs for Windows Vista [which] have been designed to help security and non-security ISVs [independent software vendors] develop software that extends the functionality of the Windows kernel on 64-bit systems, in a documented and supported manner, and without disabling or weakening the protection offered by Kernel Patch Protection,” said Ben Fathi, Microsoft’s Windows security chief, in a statement.

Analyst: Zune finding some willing ears

Although Apple still dominates music player sales with its iPod, the Zune is starting to make some inroads, particularly against the video iPod, according to one market research firm.

Current Analysis said that its data show Microsoft holding greater than 10 percent of the dollars spent in the retail market for digital audio players that sell for between $200 and $299. That’s down from the 24 percent the Zune garnered in its initial week, but still better than the firm had expected.

“Right out of the gate it was a little bit better than I expected,” said Current Analysis research director Samir Bhavnani, who noted that the Zune “got killed in the press.”

The Zune has averaged about a 13 percent share of revenue for its price range over the past three weeks, while Apple’s share has taken a hit, according to Current Analysis’ figures.

Robots could demand legal rights

Robot Einstein, Eric Ishii Eckhardt

Robots could one day demand the same citizen’s rights as humans, according to a study by the British government.

If granted, countries would be obliged to provide social benefits including housing and even “robo-healthcare”, the report says.

The predictions are contained in nearly 250 papers that look ahead at developments over the next 50 years.

Other papers, or “scans”, examine the future of space flight and methods to dramatically lengthen life spans.

BBC moves to file-sharing sites

Red Dwarf
Zudeo users will be able to download copies of Red Dwarf

Hundreds of episodes of BBC programmes will be made available on a file-sharing network for the first time, the corporation has announced.

The move follows a deal between the commercial arm of the organisation, BBC Worldwide, and technology firm Azureus.

The agreement means that users of Azureus’ Zudeo software in the US can download titles such as Little Britain.

Until now, most BBC programmes found on peer-to-peer file-sharing networks have been illegal copies.

Beth Clearfield, vice president of program management and digital media at BBC Worldwide, said that the agreement was part of a drive to reach the largest audience possible.

AMD’s new 65-nanometer chips sip energy but trail Intel

Several reviews are in for Advanced Micro Devices’ latest microprocessors, and while the new chips don’t bridge the gap between AMD and Intel’s latest chips, they do run cooler than the company’s previous offerings.

AMD’s 65-nanometer chips, which started to trickle out of its factories earlier this month, are basically just a smaller version of its dual-core 90-nanometer chips. AMD did not introduce any major new features to improve performance along with its 65-nanometer chips, but the new manufacturing technology does allow it to build chips that use less power and are smaller. Smaller chips mean that AMD can yield more working chips from the silicon wafers produced by its chipmaking equipment, helping to reduce the incremental cost of building a chip.
